Topher has been a musician for the past 25 years, serving in several capacities in both secular venues and churches alike. Topher attended Brookhaven Academy, then Copiah Lincoln Community College, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was on staff at Pinelake Church as well as Fondren Church for the formative years of his worship leading career and has been a staff member here at CP since 2016.
Topher is married to Lake Brown from Madison, MS (9 years). They have three children together: Lawsen, Isaiah (2), and Moriah (2 months). Lake grew up in a military family, moving around a lot as a child, but kept God and family as her solid foundation. She attended Madison Central High School, then Mississippi State University, and graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences. Lake graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2021 from Copiah Lincoln Community College and began nursing at KDMC in Labor and Delivery. She is currently staying home with their one-year-old son but plans to resume her nursing career this Fall. She considers her role as wife and mother her greatest God-given calling.
Topher’s calling is one he takes very seriously. He believes that his core mission in Worship Ministry is to lead God’s people in praises to Him, and thus, opening the door for the Holy Spirit to move. Topher’s desire is that worship would not just simply be to worship God on Sunday mornings in a building, but rather a lifestyle, honoring God in all we do!
